Public-Private Partnerships Resources

The American Brain Coalition's focus on public-private partnerships grows out of its ABC Innovation Initiative (ABCI2) , a collaborative program intended to stimulate private investment in brain-related research and strengthen the research and development enterprise to expedite the translation of neuroscience research into life-changing therapies and cures. Public-private partnerships can help both industry and patient advocacy organizations build translational research and development capacity to address even the most challenging central nervous system conditions.

Public-private partnerships help nonprofits, government, academia, industry, and patients achieve shared goals through collaboration and shared resources.

Therapeutics targeting central nervous system conditions are notoriously difficult and expensive to develop. Public-private partnerships are one way to break the delay in research and development.

Nonprofits large and small can benefit from public-private partnerships. Brain-focused nonprofits and government agencies are already leading the way to new CNS therapeutics through innovative collaborations with industry.

Use these tools and resources to learn more about public-private partnerships and build out your public-private
partnership strategy.
