Celebrating 75 years of the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) 

To celebrate the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) 75 years of advancing the understanding, treatment, and prevention of neurological conditions, the American Brain Coalition (ABC) and NINDS hosted two special events in June 2025.

 

On June 24, we partnered with the Congressional Neuroscience Caucus to host a Capitol Hill briefing highlighting NINDS’s decades of leadership and impact in neuroscience research. (View Recording Here) (View Summary Here)

 

The following day, on June 25, the 2025 NINDS Nonprofit Forum was held, bringing together nonprofit leaders, researchers, advocates, and individuals with lived experience. The forum celebrated the power of public-private partnerships and featured rich dialogue around accelerating progress for those affected by neurological disorders. This event was proudly championed by: American Stroke Association, Brain Injury Association of America, CACNA1A Foundation, Cerebral Palsy Research Network, Cure CMD, Hydrocephalus Association, Jonah’s Just Begun, Lewy Body Dementia Association, National Council of Dementia Minds, National MS Society, Neurotech Network, and Parkinson’s Foundation.​
