Brain Awareness Week
What is Brain Awareness Week?
Brain Awareness Week is the global campaign to foster public enthusiasm and support for brain science. Every March, partners host imaginative activities in their communities that share the wonders of the brain and the impact brain science has on our everyday lives.
Brain Awareness Week was founded by the Dana Alliance for Brain Initiatives (DABI) and the European Dana Alliance for the Brain (EDAB) and is coordinated by the Dana Foundation.

The Dana Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of a new grants program to support Brain Awareness Week outreach activities in the U.S. and Canada.
The new program is modeled on the successful Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS) and International Brain Research Organization (IBRO) Brain Awareness Week grants programs, also funded by the Foundation. The FENS program, which will open in December, supports BAW activities across Europe. The IBRO program, which will begin accepting applications in July, funds activities outside of the U.S., Canada, and Europe. Through these combined programs, Foundation support will be available for Brain Awareness Week activities worldwide, beginning with the 2021 campaign. For more information about these exciting opportunities, read the BAW press release or email bawinfo@dana.org.
